Dogs on the sofa in The Den

We understand how important it is to find somewhere that truly welcomes dogs on holiday, and with this in mind we have created the pawfect accommodations.

The gardens are fully enclosed with a fence height of 1.2m with stock fencing. The gates have chicken wire on them to stop those cheeky escape artists. We also have an acre field that is fully enclosed and is available for sole use should you require.

We welcome up to three standard sized dogs of all breeds, of course including XL Bullies to stay. However, we are flexible with this so pop us a message to discuss your requirements.

With us welcoming dogs registered under the Exempted Dogs Register please note that the gardens are secure and for your sole use during your stay, however we do ask that you muzzle and put your dog’s on their lead whilst walking to the enclosed field just a short distance from your accommodation.

‘Secure’ is subjective and very dependent on your dog, so it is for you as the dog owner to decide if the garden is correctly ‘secure’ for your dogs.

The Hive cabins garden is enclosed using stock fence designed to allow wildlife, such as hedgehogs and rabbits to pass through into the wood, while ensuring the safety of your dog. Both sides are also heavily planted with bushes. However, please note that the fence may not be suitable for very small dogs. In this case The Den would be a more suitable option as the stock fencing is covered by chicken wire.

Stock fencing gap measurements are 10cm high and 16cm wide.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us .

The paths to the cabins lead from the car park are shared for a few steps, then branch off from each other into the cabin gardens. The way the cabins are positioned you will not be overlooked, and there is a large, shrub garden area between the cabins making it an ideal location for nervous, reactive, or anxious dogs.

We DO NOT have a ‘no dogs on furniture’ rule, if your dog is used to sitting on the sofa or sleeping on the bed at home, it is only natural they will do this when you are staying in the cabin.

Throws will be provided for the bed and sofa to minimise muddy paw prints and hairs.

Dogs on the bed in The Hive

Please do not leave your dogs unattended in the cabin. It can be scary for them in an unfamiliar environment. If you plan to go out without them, please make arrangements for a dog sitter or book them into a doggy daycare locally.

And the best bit….. we DO NOT charge for dogs to stay, just the humans.
