*For guests booking through a third party, please read their terms and conditions.  Cancellation and payment terms may differ.

PAYMENT

A 20% non-refundable booking deposit is required – paid when you make your booking.

Balance is to be paid 4 weeks before you arrive. A reminder will be sent via email with a payment link.

Bookings made less than 4 weeks in advance will be charged in full.

Bookings and payments can be made via the website. If you prefer, we can take your booking by email and payment can be made by bank transfer.

Payments can be made by Visa or Mastercard on our website. They are handled securely via Stripe, and we do not see your card details. If we need to issue a refund, we will do this via Stripe.

We reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refunding your deposit if we don’t receive the full balance on time.

There may be a rare occasion when we need to cancel a stay with little or no notice.  Thorny Bush will not be liable for refunds or expenses that you
incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking due to circumstances out of our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, bad weather, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events.

There are no additional charges for payments made by card.

CANCELLATIONS

If you cancel your stay, your deposit and any balance paid is transferable to alternative stay dates on condition that we can re-book your original dates.  If we are unable to re-book the dates, then any monies paid, will be non-refundable. We recommend that you obtain travel insurance to cover you in this instance.

COVID POLICY

We hope the worst of Covid has past, but the risk still isn’t over even here, and we all have to do our bit to keep each other safe

Cancellations – we do not provide refunds if you must cancel due to Covid because travel insurance companies now have Covid cover policies

Travel Insurance – please make sure your travel insurance covers any cancellations due to Covid even if your trip takes place entirely within the UK

What we do – We ensure that every accommodation is thoroughly cleaned and aired between guests. We will strip the beds after you have checked out.

What we ask you to do –Please sort your rubbish and take it to the bins in the car park. We will charge you if we have to handle your rubbish, or sort the recycling.

Self-Isolation – Our accommodations are NOT suitable places for self-isolation.

If you or a member of your party develops symptoms – the government guidance is that you should check out and return home to self-isolate.

DO NOT COME IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LIVE WITH HAS SYMPTOMS.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT – £100

We have a refundable damage deposit in place. We accept little mishaps happen so will not charge for the odd glass or mug that is broken.  Larger items will be chargeable, but we will discuss this with you in the event of anything being broken.

However, sorting other people’s rubbish is a major infection risk, and our Council will not remove the recycling if it contains no-recyclable items; this incurs time and money for us to do it safely. A £50 charge will be applied for not separating your general waste from your recycling.

If you are unsure what can and cannot be recycled, please refer to the information in the property or just ask us.

The damage deposit will be taken with your final payment 4 weeks before your arrival, and returned automatically after we have cleaned the property. We will always notify you if we have to take funds. We will only take funds if we have to handle your rubbish, or if there is significant damage to the accommodation, its contents.
